Asia Branch Official Opening Ceremony

On October 11, 2006, HE Mr David Pine (New Zealand Ambassador) & Paul Symes (Chairman of the 4D Group of companies) officially declared the new 4D Manila Branch Office open following the commencement of Operations in July 2006.

This event was celebrated by some 70 distinguished guests & new staff members of the 4D Manila team.  Special guests included Mrs Jacqui Hannington (CFO - 4D Steel Detailing Ltd); HE Mr David Pine (New Zealand Ambassador) & Mr Ramoncito (Net) Bernales (NZ Trade Commissioner).  Many other companies were represented incl. ANZ Banking Group; Colliers International Phil., Inc.; Crown Relocations; EDI-Staffbuilders Intl.; Functional Inc.; HSD Computers Pte. Ltd. Co.; PricewaterhouseCoopers; JFE Techno Manila; Leighton Contractors; Microphase Corporation OfficeLux Interiors; Pacific Internet; Ricoh (Philippines), Inc.; Trinity Insurance Consultants & more.

Following the Ribbon cutting & Office Blessing Mr Paul Symes commenced the formalities with his opening remarks:  “I am honored to have so many friends & colleagues here to join us in celebrating the opening of our new Ortigas Branch Office.  It is taken more than 18 months of planning & implementation to achieve this goal and we are very proud of the result.  This Branch Office is a long term commitment to 4D.  We will be investing more than 1.5M USD over the next 3 to 5 years in establishing a team of 70 persons here in Ortigas.   We currently have a team of 20 in Ortigas and up to 35 in NZ. Many individuals & organizations have contributed to the establishment the Ortigas Branch office and we are truly thankful. . . . . “

The opening remarks were followed by a notable speech from his Excellency Mr David Pine the NZ Ambassador to the Philippines.  The Ambassador explained how 4D had a very special relationship with the Philippines due to the employment of Filipino’s into 4D New Zealand over the past 6 years and now the establishment of a Manila office offering local employment.  The Ambassador expressed his congratulations & support to 4D.

A number of presentations followed including a Audio Visual presentation on 4D Steel Detailing Ltd, Presentation of images from past projects & a presentation form the companies 10th Anniversary celebrations in February 2005.

Special thanks & a small token of our appreciation were given to the NZ Ambassador, NZ Trade Commissioner.  A special thank you was given to Mr Cesar A. Averia, Jr. & the Team at EDI Staffbuilders International that very kindly organized the event on our behalf.
