In 2000 the American Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand introduced these Awards to celebrate success and innovation in business relationships with the USA. This event has now become a highlight of AMCHAM’s year. With trade between New Zealand and USA continuing to expand, these Awards are expected to continue to draw interest.
The Awards night was held on 12 September 2007 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Auckland. Although unlucky to be awarded the top prize for our category, a special award was given to 4D. Judge: Ross Mathieson, CEO, Insight System explains: "It was decided to give a special award to 4D Steel Detailing for the exemplary treatment of their diverse staff. Mindful of their multiple ethnic backgrounds 4D have provided educational opportunities and community events which have helped create company loyalty with a very low staff turnover, which the judges of the 2007 AmCham - UPS Success & Innovation Awards are pleased to recognise."
